Press and release the RESET button located inside the lower wiring compartment. The button will require the use of a small pointed tool; e.g. paper clip.
Its not that its impossible, but once you have paid for a call out to remove the controller ($75+ GST) and paid a technician to fault find (around $150) and then paid for it to be reinstalled ($75+GST) you’re up to $300.00 and there is no warranty. With a new controller around $385 it just doesn’t make sense.
I had the same problem. I replaced mine with another X-Core about a year ago because I wanted to keep the same user controls as before. I am not sure what you mean by hardwired, the X-Core is just plugged into a power point on the 240 volt side. All the controllers I have seen use 24v AC on the solenoid side.
