Is the 330ci reliable? Great, reliable and affordable BMW to own Go for the older 330, and we have the convertible 330ci. Reliable, high performance and wears well over time. Which one is better E46 or E90? For example, the E46 330i ZHP offers better performance than the E90 325i. That said, in general the E90 wins the performance aspect.
Redline difference between a 330ci and a 330i. On my gf's 05 330i the redline starts at exactly 6.5k , where mine (01 330ci) starts at 6K. not that it makes a huge difference, but still interesting to know. is it like that in all 330i's or does it have anything to do with the year of production in 330's in general? Comparing US spec 6-speed manual sunroof coupes - my 04 330Ci Sport & Premium package to an 05 330Ci ZHP, the only suspension differences were the struts and shocks and front control arms (supposedly stiffer ball joins in the ZHP arms). The 2.5-liter in the 325i/Ci makes 184 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque, the 330i/Ci has a 3.0-liter that develops 225 hp and 214 lb-ft of torque, and the stellar 3.2-liter M-spec engine turns out a "The ZF gearboxes found in the 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i (ZF5HP19 or steptronic transmission)are prone to failure whereby the gearbox will not engage into the reverse gear.[41] Repair costs varies from USD2000-USD7000. There is more of a difference between the 325xi and 325i. Then Car and Driver tested a 2003 330i Performance Package on 9/03 which did the 0-60 in 5.6 sec, the
Brake disc diameter is a good one: 286mm discs: 323Ci. 300mm discs: 325Ci or 328Ci; then the age of the car will tell you (assuming the number plate indicates the year of first registration) 325mm discs: 330Ci. Also this assumes the cars are fitted with the increased payload factory option (which prescribes bigger brakes). jXAJ.
